Mentorship Program
FCLN-RAPC runs a mentorship program for young lawyers and law students. To get matched with a mentor or to become a mentor, please contact Alicia Natividad.
-
NCA "Office Hours"
Many Filipino Canadians in law were international students or internationally trained lawyers. NCAs undergo a tremendous and stressful process to become qualified in Canada. We created this program to specifically address NCA and licensing issues for international candidates.
-
Filipino Heritage Month
In 2017, Toronto City Council declared the month of June as Filipino Heritage Month. This had a cascading effect and Ontario and Canada both followed suit. In 2018, Montreal and Edmonton also launched Filipino Heritage Month in June in each city.
-
Legal Series
Since its inception, FCLN-RAPC has provided a legal series open to both the legal community and the public on issues of interest. The sessions highlight our members’ expertise and practice areas.
-
Filipino Firsts
In 2021, we sought to compile a list of the first Filipino Canadian lawyers in each province and territory. This is what we found.
-
Osgoode Oral History Program
FCLN-RAPC members interview Filipino Canadian lawyers in an effort to assist the Osgoode Society to chronicle the experiences of Filipino Canadians in law and justice.
